Funk-Up Store was founded by Insha Siddiqui, a Business Studies student, with one clear vision: to bring the bold Gen Z culture and aesthetics of the US, Brazil, UK, Canada, and Europe to India.
While studying, Insha noticed a major gap in the Indian market. Gen Z had limited options when it came to expressive, global inspired lifestyle products. Most choices felt repetitive, safe, or outdated.
That’s when Funk-Up Store was born. 🚀
The brand represents global Gen Z energy vibrant, unapologetic, creative, and slightly rebellious.
Every product reflects international street culture while staying accessible to Indian youth.
But this didn’t start from zero.
Born in Bhadohi the Carpet City of India and into a family of rug manufacturers, Insha grew up surrounded by textures, threads, looms, and craftsmanship. Rugs weren’t just products they were part of her environment, her upbringing, her legacy.
Instead of walking away from tradition, she chose to evolve it.
